Miracle of the Moment
Mon, Dec 04, 2017 - by Adel/Mercy

Miracle at the Moment

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble on its own." (Matthew 6:34 NIV)

`Cause we are who and where and what we are for now / and this is the only moment we can do anything about / So breathe it in and breathe it out / And listen to your heartbeat / There`s a wonder in the here and now / It`s right there in front of you / I don`t want you to miss the miracle of the moment "

Have you ever heard of this song? This song is Miracle of the Moment by Steven Curtis Chapman. This song describes the wonderfully describes the beauty of being in the moment. The past is unchangeable. We are not able to go back to the past because we don`t have a time machine, but even if we have one, do we really want to go back into the past? Who we are now, bounded with our bests and worsts are shaped by the past. The future is yet to come, and there is no use in worrying about what is coming in the future. There is only One who knows our future, and we believe that He doesn`t miss a thing.

I often complain when I am faced with constant trials. And as this goes, I kept being reminded that through all the trials, I manage to do everything through all that God has equipped me with at the moment. I can spend my time either complaining, crying, or savor these moments by being grateful. Everything has its time. He is the Lord of what used to be, what is and what is to come. He would only allow things to happen for my own good in the future. This moment is a miracle, if we dare to perceive it. This moment is a gift from God, we can do anything and it will define what is coming for us.

Be present in this moment, this precise time. Soon, `this moment` will be the past and we will not be able to do anything to change it. Live in this precise moment for the glory of God. Our future is in the hands of our merciful God, trust that He would never forsake us.

Today`s Prayer:
Lord, thank you for the blessings of the `present` that you have given to us. Be with us always, so we can utilise each precious second of this moment to bring glory to Your Name. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen. Jesus bless you and Mother Mary prays for you. Fiat Lux! [AKW/MEC]
