All man possesses ‘the original sin’, which was inherited down from Adam and Eve. We inherited the original sin from when we were born. This is why we are easily tempted to sin more than to do good works. We tend to drift further away from God more easily than draw near to him and enjoy his goodness and love.
The Catholic Church celebrates ‘The Day of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary’ to remind all its congregation about how noble Mary is as the mother of the Savior. Mother Mary was given an exception by God from the inheritance of Adam. The blessed virgin was a human like us, she is a descendant of Adam. She lived in this world that was full of sin. But she had something special that not every one has. She was appointed by God to be the mother of his son. The Savior of the world. She was appointed to give birth to Jesus, the Son of God, and from the beginning of his life he was prepared for his noble purpose.
God gave his great grace of Salvation to man through Mother Mary. God is the source of all grace, and Mary was only a vessel. As a vessel of God’s grace, Mary is also full of grace, holy and spotless. She was redeemed in the most perfect way and was spotless before God. The womb of the Virgin Mary was pure and God found it proper for his Son. Through Mary, the curse of sin was exchanged with blessing for mankind.
Mother Mary, with joy we reflect on the mystery of you as the choice as the mother of the Savior. You were redeemed by God from the curse of sin that fell on man. Your soul is rich with the grace of God and radiates the splendor and glory of God. Mary who was conceived without sin, pray for us that seek shelter in you. Amen. God bless you and Mother Mary prays for us. Fiat Lux! (MIR/JOEY)
